Betamethasone sodium phosphate 0.1% and Neomycin sulphate 0.5%
Bethametasone reduces inflammation by stopping cells from releasing these inflammatory chemicals, reduces inflammation in these local areas. Neomycin is a type of medicine called an aminoglycoside antibiotic. It kills bacteria and so prevents them from increasing in numbers and causing infection in the eyes.
Indications
Inflammatory conditions (eg. uveitis, marginal keratitis, allergic conjunctivitis, blepharitis and episcleritis) where development of bacterial infection is likely.
Eye Ointment: It should be applied thinly and evenly to the conjunctival sac at night (If eye drops used during day) or 3-4 times daily (if ointment used alone).
