Each tablet contains: Aceclofenac 100 mg, Paracetamol 325 mg, and Chlorzoxazone 250 mg.
Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and analgesic.
Aceclofenac is a potent inhibitor of the cyclooxygenase enzyme involved in the production of prostaglandins. Aceclofenac relieves pain and inflammation through various mechanisms and additionally has a stimulatory effect on cartilage matrix synthesis.
Paracetamol
Paracetamol is an aniline derivative with analgesic and antipyretic properties similar to those of aspirin; however, it does not have significant anti-inflammatory activity.
Paracetamol is less irritating to the stomach than aspirin. Paracetamol is generally well tolerated by patients who are sensitive to acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin).
Chlorzoxazone
Chlorzoxazone is a centrally acting muscle relaxant (myorelaxant) with sedative properties.
Indications
Parox tablets are indicated for the prevention and relief of the following diseases, conditions, and symptoms:
Muscle pain, joint pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, headache, toothache, earache, menstrual pain, fever, bone and joint pain, migraine, muscle spasms, and muscle tension.
