Each vial contains Ceftriaxone 1 g (as sterile Ceftriaxone sodium USP).
It is intended for intravenous or intramuscular administration. The bactericidal activity of ceftriaxone results from the inhibition of cell wall synthesis. Ceftriaxone has a high degree of stability in the presence of beta-lactamases, including penicillinases and cephalosporinases, of both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria.
